During the practical maintenance of road lighting, it is very often necessary to quickly and accurately determine the type of the luminaire required to correctly address the conditions of a very specific application.
To simplify luminaire selection, we included a practical application guide in the “Time for Malaga LED” brochure. We selected 6 most common lighting classes found on county, communal and local roads: P2, P3, P4, M4, M5 and C5.
We added the most popular road and installation geometries, i.e.:
- typical roadway widths and installation heights, depending on the class,
- overhang at the roadway edge,
- installation with a nadir of 0° or 5°.
This produces an application matrix for the individual types of Malaga LED luminaires for different intervals between the posts. Using the tabular graphic and the colour codes, it is easy to see which Malaga LED luminaire to use in the individual application variants.
We recalculated all the indicated solutions in the Dialux program for the maintenance factor of 0.80.
