The warranty on Philips Ledinaire luminaires, which are a popular choice with the installers, has just been extended.

From 1/3/2023, the warranty period is 5 years instead of 3 years.

Based on more than 125 years of experience, in order to reassure you that you have made the right choice, we are pleased to offer a 5-year warranty on products from the Philips Ledinaire portfolio.

The change concerns the entire Philips Ledinaire range:

  • High-bay luminaires
  • Ledinaire surface-mounted luminaires
  • Ledinaire panel luminaires
  • Ledinaire batten luminaires
  • Ledinaire waterproof luminaires
  • Ledinaire wall-mounted luminaires
  • Ledinaire downlight luminaires
  • Ledinaire floodlight luminaires
  • Ledinaire streetlight luminaires

The extended warranty covers Philips Ledinaire products purchased by the customers from our distributors after 1 March 2023.

We would also like to remind you of the RoHS Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The changes imposed under the reviewed Directive have a significant impact on the lighting industry and its conventional lighting offer. Certain existing exemptions concerning the use of mercury in linear fluorescent lamps and single-capped compact fluorescent lamps used for general lighting purposes will expire this year and they will not be renewed. This means that these products will no longer be available on the European market as of the below dates:

  • single-capped compact fluorescent lamps – as of 24 February 2023;
  • linear fluorescent lamps T5 and T8 – as of 24 August 2023.

As Signify, we offer assistance with the replacement of fluorescent lamps with LED lighting. The Philips Ledinaire luminaire group is one of our recommended solutions for lighting retrofit. They are high-quality products with low electricity consumption.
